What Cavalier Coffee Roasters say
Coffee Story
Grown on high, sun-drenched slopes at an impressive 1,800 meters above sea level, this exceptional AA lot represents the collective dedication of the smallholders of the Rungeto Cooperative. Nourished by rich, red volcanic soils and washed in the pristine, fresh waters of the Nyamindi River, the cherries are slowly sun-dried on traditional raised beds for up to 15 days. This meticulous craftsmanship unlocks a remarkably deep, sophisticated cup profile.
Complex and beautifully structured, it leads with a vibrant burst of tart blackcurrant, the hallmark of a truly great Kenyan coffee. Before unfolding into a luxurious, velvety heart of dark chocolate cherry and the sweet, nutty sophistication of amaretto. It is a striking, elegant brew that perfectly captures the wild, high-altitude terroir of Kirinyaga.
