What A+ Coffee Roasters say
Region/Area: Cerrado Mineiro
In the heart of Carmo do Paranaíba, Cachoeira Farm is the living legacy of Danilo Barbosa and his family. From modest beginnings as gas station attendants, they planted their first coffee trees by hand in 1980, growing over the decades into more than 2,000 hectares, with 700 preserved for the environment. A proud moment came when Danilo reclaimed Cachoeira Farm, his mother’s birthplace and once his great grandfather’s land, where in 2021 he produced a Cup of Excellence winning coffee.
Every detail matters here. The farm’s success comes from respecting the land’s terroir, altitude, and climate, and pairing that with innovation. Sustainable practices like tree planting and beekeeping work alongside modern fermentation techniques, natural yeast experiments, and advanced nutrient delivery to produce coffees of exceptional quality. Q grader Deyvid Leandro leads tasting and quality control, ensuring every batch meets the highest standard.
