What Bancroft Roasters say
Fig Jam - Blackberry - Chocolate
This naturally processed coffee is sun-dried on raised beds for 16-20 days. After this, the coffee is brought into a drying greenhouse, set up with a multi-layer system where it is dried for an extra three days in a stable environment to ensure uniformity. The semi-washed component of this single origin coffee has the outer bean skin removed, similar to washed coffee before sun drying and hulling.
Roberto H. Murray Meza who owns the Finca Majahual farm supports the workforce by providing medical assistance, an onsite clinic, an education centre and leisure facilities for families and community members.
Majahual's initiatives for preserving native wildlife and environmental resources are exemplary. Coffee plants across their 90 hectares are shade-grown among natural forests, ensuring ecosystem biodiversity. A recent Rainforest Alliance audit gave them a perfect score for their socially and environmentally responsible practices.
