What Handpickers say
NOTES: Grown in the volcanic soils of Poços de Caldas, Minas Gerais, Matão Farm has built a reputation for producing exceptional specialty coffee. At 1,050 metres above sea level, the farm cultivates the highly regarded Arara variety, often referred to as the “Brazilian Geisha” for its outstanding quality and resilience. The combination of Arara’s genetic potential and the farm’s mineral-rich volcanic terroir creates coffees with remarkable sweetness and complexity. Committed to sustainable farming, Matão balances coffee production with environmental preservation, maintaining native forests that support local flora and fauna. For this lot, ripe cherries are carefully harvested, pulped, washed, and dried on patios to 11% moisture, resulting in a clean and expressive cup.
