What Locale Coffee Roasters say
tastes like orange blossom, black tea & mango
This stunning washed Gesha comes from Finca La Soledad in Guatemala. It’s silky, balanced & delicate with exceptional clarity. With sweet honeysuckle and orange blossom florals, black tea, mango and honeyed sweetness.
We’re very excited to welcome this special microlot from Finca La Soledad – a fifth-generation family farm in the Acatenango region of Guatemala, run today by Henio Pérez and his sons, Raul and José. Coffee has been grown here since the late 1800s, but over the last decade the family has pushed hard into specialty – investing in on-site milling, lot separation and careful processing standards to bring out the best in their higher-altitude Gesha plantings
La Soledad is one of the most respected farms in Guatemala. The farm sits on rich volcanic soil in the shadow of nearby volcanoes, with cool nights and steady breezes that slow cherry development and concentrate flavour. Ripe cherries are selectively handpicked, fully washed and patio-dried.
This washed lot is a beautiful expression of a classic Guatemalan Gesha. Complex, refined, floral and vibrant – a coffee so special you’ll want to slow down & savour every sip.
