What Micrology Coffee Roasters say
Tucked into the hills near Aricha, Adorsi is a washing station with plenty of altitude, history and heart. It was the first Yirgacheffe station acquired by Faysel Abdosh of family-run Testi Specialty Coffee, so it is a bit of a favourite. Coffee arrives from independent, smallholder farmers across ten nearby villages, then each village’s harvest is kept separate to preserve its own little sense of place. Up at 1,950 metres, cool mountain air slows the drying process and gives the coffee time to do develop greater complexity. At the centre of the station is a shared house where coffee is brewed, meals are passed around and the harvest team comes together.
