Discover the taste of Guatemala with this microlot from Octavio Lopez Compeseco of Finca El Durazno, a 10.5-acre farm in San Antonio Huista, Huehuetenango, an area neighbouring Mexico and renowned for its fruit-forward coffee offerings.
Octavio cultivates Bourbon, Caturra, and Pache varietals up to 2,200 MASL. The cherries are depulped on the day of harvest, fermented dry for 24 hours, washed three times to remove mucilage, and thoroughly dried on concrete patios for 4 to 6 days.
This meticulous process yields a cup with fantastic depth of flavour. We hope you enjoy this exceptional offering of Guatemalan terroir.
