What Seven Miles Coffee Roasters say

This is no ordinary decaf. Grown at the Azahar estate in Colombia’s mountainous North Huila region, the green coffee is decaffeinated using a natural sugar cane process, which results in a coffee with a full flavour and less impact on the planet. The flavour embodies everything about its origin, with deep chocolate notes together with hints of sweet almond and bright nectarine creating a beautifully harmonious and balanced cup.

The new 500g is available in whole beans only. For a ground option, please choose the 250g size.

This is an Excelso grade, decaffeinated coffee from the Tello-Palermo municipality of North Huila, Colombia. Using Caturra, Castillo, and Colombia varietals, this is washed coffee, fermented for 18-26 hours, and patio-parabolic dried for 16-20 days.

Decaffeination is done using water processing, during this process, the green beans are steamed and then washed with a naturally occurring Ethyl Acetate solution, obtained as a byproduct of sugar cane fermentation. This solution decaffeinates the green beans and, unlike many methods where harsh chemicals strip the beans of flavour, what's left is the beans’ natural flavour resulting in a superior-tasting coffee.
