ABOUT THE FARM / REGION

Finca Las Margaritas is one of the five famous farms owned and managed by Café Granja La Esperanza, a pioneering family-run coffee producer in Colombia. The company’s story began in 1945, when the founders acquired Finca Potosí, marking the beginning of a legacy in specialty coffee.

Over the decades, Café Granja La Esperanza has become internationally renowned for its commitment to quality, experimental processing methods, and cultivation of rare coffee varietals such as Geisha, Sudan Rume, SL28, and Pacamara. The farms operate under strict organic and environmentally responsible practices, emphasizing biodiversity and traceability at every stage of production.

Among all their farms, Las Margaritas stands out as the largest and most diverse. It comprises 13 distinct lots and nearly 95,000 coffee trees, situated in a region with ideal altitudes and microclimates for producing exceptional coffees. The farm serves as a model of sustainable and innovative coffee agriculture, where traditional cultivation is combined with advanced post-harvest techniques to highlight the unique flavor profiles of each varietal.

Through farms like Las Margaritas, Café Granja La Esperanza continues to set global standards for specialty and competition-grade coffees, earning numerous awards and recognition from international coffee organizations and barista championships.
