What Barrio Collective coffee say
Hadeso Washed
Guji Shakisso
Ethiopia
A quintessential and totally spectacular washed Ethiopian!
Hadeso is a privately owned washing station in the Guji area of Ethiopia. It is a somewhat small and very specialised station with 8 permanent staff and 250 seasonal workers processing coffee from around 500 independent growers. It is a top notch operation which focuses on getting the best out of the coffee. Which in the case of Ethiopian coffee really means, letting the coffee shine! As Ethiopia is the home of the coffee tree, there are endless distinctive characteristics to be discovered. Quality and thorough processing is essential to displaying the more distinct natural character of the coffee.
This is a beautiful exemplar of coffee from Guji with crisp fruits and balanced mouthfeel. This has vibrant fresh stone fruit character with a lovely rose tea finish. The aftertaste lingers well which we also take as an indicator of quality and freshness. Enjoy!
