What Barrio Collective coffee say

La Union

Washed process

Nariño

Colombia

This is where it all began for us at the Barrio coffee factory. The very first sacks of coffee we purchased back at the beginning of 2015 were from the picturesque little town of La Union. It has stayed close to our hearts ever since. When we taste a new sample its always one of those ahhhh moments. Like when you taste an ice cream you loved as a child or catch a familiar scent that soothes your whole being.

In other words, we are absolutely wrapped to be tasting and sourcing delicious coffees from our beloved Nariño. In fact coming across this coffee is reminding us to focus our efforts to consistently source coffee from this neck of the woods.

This coffee is a beautiful expression of the unique land it comes from. The character of Nariño coffee that we love for its chocolate and fresh fruit flavour, tea and floral qualities, complex acidity and syrupy texture is all present here.
