Already established as a leader in the food service industry importing Italian coffee, the Valmorbida family recognised a need for locally roasted coffee and with that DC Coffee was born with a roasting facility in Preston. Over the years we grew quickly across the country, and developed a growing team of coffee professionals.

As Melbourne became renowned as the coffee capital of Australia and began entering the global coffee stage, we updated our approach to be more specialty coffee focused and doubled down on what made us different - our team’s obsession with music, art and the creative chaos that makes life interesting.

A blend and a tribute to Melbourne’s live music scene. We ran DC TUNES gigs, footed the bill for 200+ local bands, and took over venues like the Espy for nights no one remembers but everyone loved.

Our coffee bags became full-blown canvases. From Darkness to Critical Hit , each blend got its own illustrated alter ego. Cafés started showing them off like vinyl sleeves on a record store wall.
