---

Established in 1985 within the fertile highlands of the Santa Ava Volcano, the El Borbollon farm runs six generations deep from the expertise of the Alvarez family. With eyes set on traceability and corporate social responsibility, these farmers are committed to reforming the environmental and social issues in the region. Stretching back 130 years ago with seedlings planted by Rafael Alvarez Lalinde brought from Colombia, the coffee grown here today are a testament to the family's quality-driven philosophy. Alongside diligent hard work and great farm management, the Alvarez family have long played a part in community welfare including fighting malnutrition among children in regional areas, operating a health clinic to provide advice and education and equipping children on farms with free schooling.
