Cranberry, caramelised peach & cinnamon.

---

‘Karenzo’ is a Kirundi word that means extra, special, and unique—embodying the spirit of Burundi coffee. The Cinderella of the specialty world, Burundi’s rich and unique coffees have often been lost in a sea of instant and supermarket blends. But now, grown and crafted with care, with the help of Long Miles Coffee, Burundi is emerging to find its place in the specialty limelight. This peaberry lot is a unique expression of the flavours one can experience from across the Kayanza Province. A naturally occurring mutation in less than 5% of coffee cherries, peaberries aren’t selectively bred and must be carefully sorted by hand at Heza Washing Station. Embodying the spirit of Burundi coffee, these smaller ‘peaberries’ pack a punch for their size, often characterised by increased complexity in the cup.
