What The Maillard Project say
This Geisha coffee hails from Cerro Azul, the most renowned of the five farms owned by Rigoberto and Luis Herrera. As third-generation coffee producers, their family business, Café Granja La Esperanza, was established nearly a century ago. Years of cultivating varietals and experimenting with processing methods have resulted in award-winning coffee season after season. Cerro Azul exclusively produces Geisha coffee and is known for its sustainable practices, a core part of Granja La Esperanza’s philosophy. The farm’s hyper-productivity is a testament to these practices.
