What Blackboard Coffee Roasters say
Before 1984, the Nunes family land was strictly for cattle. Today, Chapadão Farm produces Cup Of Excellence winning lots. Third-generation agronomist Gabriel Nunes combines deep family heritage with serious technical precision in the Cerrado Mineiro.
Gabriel Nunes, an agronomist graduated from Federal University of Viçosa, leads the operation with technical precision and global perspective. Soil management, varietal selection and controlled post-harvest systems are embedded in the farm’s structure. Chapadão benefits from defined seasons, high altitudes and ideal drying conditions that support consistency and quality.
Coffee cherries are harvested and placed in open containers/tanks, allowing them to ferment in the presence of oxygen, before being laid out to dry
