What De Groot Coffee Company say

Casa Negra Colombian Coffee

A beautifully sweet and versatile Colombian coffee, Casa Negra is a rich, fruit-driven lot that works wonderfully across both black and milk-based brewing. Grown at 1050 MASL and produced from the Caturra varietal, this coffee delivers a rounded, comforting cup with plenty of sweetness, body, and depth.

Expect an intensely sweet flavour profile led by panela sugar, giving the coffee a warm, caramel-like sweetness. This is balanced by soft cocoa notes and a generous mix of red and black berries, creating a cup that feels both familiar and expressive.

As an espresso, Casa Negra offers excellent body and sweetness, with the cocoa and panela notes creating a smooth, satisfying base. With milk, it becomes creamy and chocolatey, while still holding onto its berry-like fruit character. Brewed black, it opens up with more clarity, showing its layered fruit sweetness and gentle acidity.

A fantastic everyday coffee for those who enjoy sweetness and richness, but with enough fruit complexity to keep things interesting.
