ABOUT RUMUDAMO STATION
Rumudamo is a small village in Arbegona, one of the districts in Ethiopia’s Sidama region. It borders Bensa to the east, Bona to the south, and the Oromia region to the north.
Located at an elevation of around 2,200 metres above sea level, Rumudamo Washing Station works with approximately 600 local farmers. Most of the coffee grown in the area is the 74112 variety, cultivated across about 840 hectares of land. Together, the farmers harvest around 350 tonnes of coffee cherries each year.
Rumudamo Washing Station has also achieved outstanding results in coffee competitions. It won both second and third place at Ethiopia’s first Cup of Excellence competition in 2020, and received second place at the 2024 Taste of Harvest competition.
