Proud Mary was founded by husband and wife Nolan and Shari Hirte in 2009 in Melbourne, Australia. Proud Mary offers products and services that improve the start of your day so dramatically, that it's impossible to go back to the way things used to be.

We shouldn’t have to pick between good coffee and good food. We believe that they go hand in hand. Our locations in Melbourne and Portland offer all-day breakfast, delicious lunch, high-end tea, fresh juice, smoothies, cakes, pastries, and table-service along with our coffee. We are thrilled to be using fresh, healthy, sustainable, ethically, and locally sourced produce.

We source high quality coffee direct from origin, roast the beans, and supply coffee around Australia and America. Through deep and meaningful relationships with coffee farmers, telling stories of the product and the process, we fight for more equitable practices and greater appreciation in the coffee space.

We blend the innovative spirit of Melbourne’s coffee culture with Portland’s adventurous taste buds. The result is a refined yet experimental approach to our food, beverage, and service. We joyfully nerd out on the product, the people, and the process that brings it all together.
