What The Bean Cartel say
Colombia Maypop isn’t just filter coffee, it’s a fermentation philosophy.
Crafted with passionfruit and aromatic plants in a process that balances science with intuition, the result is delicate, expressive and unlike anything else.
Opening with fresh herbal florals and soft stonefruit, a silky, layered body flows into gentle oolong tea, lifted by a vibrant note of passionfruit and a clean, tea-like finish that lingers long after the last sip.
At Finca La Riviera in Santa Rosa de Cabal, Risaralda, farmer Julio César Madrid cultivates this lot at 1,750 masl beneath the volcanic slopes of Los Nevados National Natural Park. Here, mineral-rich soils, crisp mountain air, and thriving biodiversity provide the foundation for truly distinctive coffee.
Together with fermentation specialist Andrés Julio Quiceno, their method goes beyond conventional washed or natural techniques, transforming each cherry into a living canvas of terroir, innovation, and daring creativity.
Maypop stands as both a celebration of Colombia’s culture and a glimpse into the future of coffee innovation.
