Dusangirijambo Cooperative farms Maruri Hill in Kayanza, Burundi, at up to 1,900 metres. Founded in 2007, it now supports 3,000 members, over a third of them women. Cherries are depulped, fermented for up to 24 hours, then dried slowly on raised beds for two to three weeks.
The cup is rich and balanced. Buttery toffee sweetness meets bright, juicy citrus acidity, rounded out with a clean, delicate finish that lingers.
