The new Burundi crop that landed in mid-June 2025 is here, and it's remarkably different from any we've sourced in the last 13 years. This difference is so positive, so exceptional, that we have elevated this Burundi into our elite group of Grand Cru selections.

This is a genuinely fantastic coffee, displaying a complexity that rivals top Ethiopian coffees. You'll find it resembles a Sidamo or Yirgacheffe but with more body, deeper chocolate notes, and a longer, persistent finish.

Our 13-Year Burundi Legacy

We started offering Burundi coffees in 2012 when it was still an unknown origin for quality coffee. Today, Burundi has built a legendary following among our customers, with many loyal enthusiasts instantly selecting it as their regular, go-to coffee.

As a small, landlocked African country, Burundi's coffee production is tiny. However, the first-rate attention and care from its farmers, combined with our sourcing from the highly respected Akawa Project, ensures a satisfying and exceptional cup every time.
