High in the mountains of Palestina, Huila, at around 2,000 metres above sea level, something quietly extraordinary is happening. Tierra Diversidad is a network of 117 smallholder producers united by a shared belief: that great coffee begins with respect for the land. Working without chemical inputs and honoring traditional farming methods, these producers have built something far greater than any single farm could achieve alone. Shared infrastructure including a cupping laboratory, professional drying stations, and centralized warehouses means that every lot maintains the kind of traceability and quality that specialty coffee demands.

At the center of this community is Linarco Rodríguez, known to everyone as Don Lino. A farmer, mentor, and quiet force for change, Don Lino has spent years refining the practices that define Tierra Diversidad's reputation. From selective harvesting to fermentation control and careful drying techniques, his influence reaches well beyond his own Betania Farm and into the broader region. He mentors young growers, champions environmentally responsible farming, and embodies the collaborative spirit that makes this network so special.

The Pink Bourbon varietal he grows is processed using a precise washed method designed to let the bean speak for itself. Cherries are selected at peak ripeness, fermented with a focus on clarity and aromatic precision, fully washed, and then slowly dried before a resting period that allows the flavors to fully stabilize. The result is a cup of exceptional elegance: highly floral and tea-like on the nose, with layers of black tea, chamomile, orange, cherry and gentle dried fruit on the palate, bright citric acidity, a silky light-to-medium body, and a long, clean finish that lingers beautifully.
