What Coffee Supreme say
Kenya Gathaithi is clean as they come. This washed espresso opens with juicy blackberry, lime, and hibiscus, lifted by a subtle cola-like note. Vibrant and layered with fruit sweetness, it carries a bright malic acidity and a lingering, velvety finish.
Grown by the Gathaithi Farmers’ Cooperative Society, this lot is made up of cherries from over 1,600 smallholder producers, all delivered to a single wet mill in Nyeri County. Ripe cherries are handpicked and delivered daily during harvest, where they’re carefully sorted so only the best fruit moves through processing.
Set between Mt. Kenya and the Aberdare ranges, the factory sits on rich red volcanic soil at 1,720m above sea level. The high elevation slows cherry maturation, while cool temperatures and steady rainfall create ideal conditions for complex coffees with heightened sweetness and acidity. A classic Kenyan coffee, done right.
