Blackstar Coffee Roasters started in 2006 and has roasted from a purpose-built facility in East Brisbane since 2008. It also trains baristas and builds direct relationships with farmers. The beans are mostly blends from Brazil, Ethiopia and Papua New Guinea alongside single origins. Revolution · Espresso has notes of dark chocolate, biscuit and dark toffee. Halo Beriti, a washed Yirgacheffe from Ethiopia, comes with white florals, mandarin and peach. A Peruvian decaf is on the shelf too.
