What PrimalCoffeeRoasters say
Our Roaster's Choice is where we get to let our creativity loose. Each month, our roasting team hand-selects a unique coffee or blend that has captured our attention. It might be an exciting new processing method, a rare micro-lot, an exceptional farm, a small-batch fermentation, or simply something we think deserves to be shared. Every Roaster's Choice is a limited monthly release, so there's always something new waiting to be discovered.
August 2026 – SINGLE ORIGIN - Peña Colorada | Oaxaca, Mexico
This month's Roaster's Choice takes us to the mountains of Oaxaca, Mexico, where the small farming community of Peña Colorada produces beautifully clean, balanced coffees at elevations of 1,600 to 1,800 metres above sea level. Grown by dedicated smallholder farmers, this washed Arabica is crafted from traditional varieties including Typica, Bourbon and Mundo Novo. The high altitude and careful processing create a cup that is smooth, approachable and wonderfully refined.
If you enjoy coffees that are crisp, sweet and beautifully balanced without being overly acidic, this Mexican single origin is one you'll want to savour.
Every Roaster's Choice is available for one month only. Once it's gone, it's gone. Be sure to check back each month to discover what our roasting team has created next.
