About the Producer

Gachatha Factory has been producing coffee since 1963 and is operated by more than 1,000 local farmers in Kenya's Nyeri region. Most producers grow coffee on small family farms—often alongside other crops—with around 300 coffee trees making up each farm.

With so many people living nearby, sustainability is a big focus. Wastewater is carefully treated before returning to the environment, and the surrounding native vegetation is protected to help preserve local bird and wildlife habitats.

It's a community-driven approach that produces the kind of clean, structured coffees Kenya is known for.

Best enjoyed black, but honestly? This coffee handles whatever you throw at it. Filter, spro, milk, iced! It still holds its shape and drinks beautifully. High quality coffee should work for you, not the other way around.
