Thirikwa

Gakuyuini Coffee Factory was established in 1982 on a two-acre site in Ngariama, Kirinyaga County, Kenya. It serves smallholder farmers from the nearby villages of Githiru, Gituba and Mukure, and is attached to Thirikwa Farmers’ Co-operative Society. The surrounding farmers hold around a hectare each, and the care they show thjeir coffee trees contributes to the clean, vibrant character of the coffee in the cup, careful picking, fresh water to wash the coffees and sun drying on raised african beds ensures high quality from end to end.
