What Code Black Coffee say
Kenya Kainamui AA Washed Filter - Single Origin.
The Kainamui factory serves around 1,800 smallholder coffee farmers who are members of the New Ngariama Farmers Cooperative Society, including about 600 women. Each smallholder typically owns an average of 200 coffee trees on less than half a hectare, making efficient, high‑quality farming especially important. Farmers in the area grow coffee alongside gravellea, macadamia nuts, eucalyptus, tea, corn, and bananas, reflecting a diverse, mixed farm approach to livelihood. The factory also receives regular field visits from agricultural ministers and agrocompanies, which run training programs to support better farming practices and quality.
Through the cooperative, members receive prefinancing to cover school fees, production costs, and emergency needs, helping smallholders manage cashflow pressure while focusing on harvesting and processing quality coffee.
