What Josie Coffee say
In 2025, Yaye was one of our customers' favourite lots, impressing both home and café customers immensely. This year, we really wanted to get our hands on the coffee again and had the good fortune of being offered some by MCM.
It's another stellar showing for the Yaye Station and further evidence that the 'Special Prep' lots are well worth both the effort and cost increase. In the cup this coffee is bursting with ripe, sweet fruit, a good dose of berry-like character and bright acidity. We're really happy to have it back in our offering this year.
The Yaye Washing Station is in the centre of Sidama and the coffee presents itself as the very best of what the region offers. There's a tonne of winey acidity and blackberry fruit upfront, made even better by the incredible processing at the mill. Sidama is known for its intensely fruity profile and old Josie heads will know that we've always had a soft spot for coffees from the area.
