The Beanery has roasted in small batches in Brighton, in Bayside Melbourne, since 1988. Espresso machines are part of the business too, and the roaster installs them, trains buyers to use them and services them. Blends make up about half the beans in stock, and most beans are medium roasts. Kenya AA is a washed medium roast for filter with blackcurrant, citrus and ripe berry notes. Guji is a light natural from Ethiopia with strawberry, blueberry and soft floral notes. Swiss Water Decaf is a medium roast blend with milk chocolate and roasted nut notes.
