TASTE: BLACKBERRY, RIBENA, SMOOTH
About:
Something that makes Tarrazú particularly interesting is how consistent its identity is with seasonal cycles, they have distinct wet and dry periods, and a harvest that happens in a relatively narrow window. This predictability allows producers and mills to operate with a high level of timing precision, especially when it comes to picking and drying. Costa Rica is also unique in that it legally prohibits the planting of lower-grade coffee varieties, meaning producers are required to grow higher-quality Arabica types. This has shaped the entire country’s output over time, pushing it toward a reputation for clarity and structure rather than volume.
