What Byron Bay Coffee Co say
Single Origin Coffee ESPRESSO ROAST - El Obraje, Colombia
Our roaster's current single origin selection: El Obraje, Colombia, washed Costa Rica 95 produced by Pablo Guerrero
Flavour: Rich, smooth notes of praline and cacao, balanced by a delicate raspberry acidity that brings a gentle brightness to the cup.
Produced by Pablo Guerrero at El Obraje in Tangua, Colombia, this washed coffee is a Costa Rica 95—a varietal developed in Central America by crossing Caturra with Timor Hybrid, a natural Arabica–Robusta hybrid. Now well established in Nariño, the varietal is valued for its quality and resilience.
Only the ripest cherries are selected before undergoing a 30-hour underwater fermentation, then washed and dried on raised beds.
