In the high-altitude zone of Jimma, Nesru Aba Nura grows coffee alongside her husband, Mensur. As members of the Tokuma collective,a group of smallholder farmers, they are building a more sustainable, independent future for local growers. By investing in the complex infrastructure needed to produce washed coffees, a move usually reserved for large state-owned mills, they've taken control of their craft. The result is a cup with notes of tropical fruits, red apple and black tea.
