What Kindred Coffee say

Inzovu is a coffee worked on by smallhold farmers partnered with the Rwanda Trading company (RTC). Inzovu directly translates to elephant the brand image for the RTC, and an animal that symbolises resilience and perseverance and perfectly embodies the exotic flavour of  Rwandan Coffees.

On farms with an average elevation of 1700-2000 masl, smallhold farmers work with the RTC to mill, process, market and export cherries that grow across Rwanda’s famous landlocked and jungled slopes. These smallhold producers who represent the majority of the coffee agriculture industry in Rwanda are paid a premium by RTC for the quality of cherries they deliver. This rewards and acknowledges the hard work in plant husbandry and harvesting that so many Rwanda families rely on. Inzovu is built around clarity, balance, and elegance. Grown at high altitude and meticulously processed, this lot showcases the sparkling acidity Rwanda is known for, layered with silky sweetness and a super clean finish. After nine years of providing agronomy training to the farmers in the supply chain, the RTC is now also rejuvenating farms with older crops that are past their prime. They have donated approximately 5 million seedlings across numerous farms in Rwanda.
