What Kindred Coffee say

Mwito community washing station is situated in the Nyamasheke district next to Lake Kivu, an incredible and extremely regional part of the Western Province of Rwanda. Its remote micro climate yields high quality fruit and gives producers the opportunity to produce natural and experimental lots. The Mwito CWS was acquired by the Rwanda Trading Company (RTC) in 2017 and since then they have gathered a full list of the coffee farmers in the community. Grouping them by their neighborhoods facilitates access to our agronomy training. In 2019, RTC built a kindergarten school for the coffee farmers’ children, which currently is host to over 150 3–6-year-old, boys and girls. RTC is also keeping cows at the station to provide organic fertilizer for a 5Ha learning model farm, and the milk produced by the cows becomes part of the diet of the kindergarten students providing a reliable source of nutrition.

The coffee from this area is outstanding, and the potential for its coffee producing region and community is immense.
