Sweet and juicy, Gathaithi is grown in the famous Nyeri region. It has the perfect conditions for growing some of the tastiest coffees in Kenya. Rich, red fertile soil, a moderate climate all-year round with high altitude and decent rainfall means the coffee cherries are delivered the nutrients and moisture they need to slowly mature in the coffee we want to share with you today.
Gathaithi is the factory where this coffee is processed and is made up of 1656 smallholder producers who are part of the Gathaithi Cooperative. Members of the cooperative have the benefit of shared resources, collective bargaining and a unified approach to marketing and production. This all culminates into a coffee that is clean, complex and delicious every time.
