Beat Coffee

Beat Coffee roasts in Reservoir, in the Melbourne area, and began in 2014. Owner Leigh trained as an engineer and also makes cold brew, including a nitro version. Stock is mostly single origins, with several Brazilian naturals and others from Colombia, Guatemala, Nicaragua, El Salvador and Bolivia. Roxana Chambi Gesha is an anaerobic Bolivian lot at $18.40 per 100g, with mango, blueberry and toffee notes. Tweak Scratch is a Colombian decaf with raisin, dried apricot and citrus notes. Other roasters also sell coffee from Manos Juntas Mill, Roxana Chambi and BOM Jesus.
