Finca Aurora sits in the mountains of Matagalpa — one of Nicaragua's most celebrated coffee regions — at elevations between 1,700 and 2,000 MASL. The farm is run by the Ferrufino family: Enrique, a surgeon by trade, and his wife Silvia, a pediatrician, who bought the property in 2004 and have built it into an exceptional specialty coffee operation alongside their three children.

Their approach is rooted in people as much as plants. Workers receive fair wages, safe living conditions, health services, food, and education. The Ferrufinos also work with smaller neighbouring producers, sharing knowledge and helping to raise the quality of the entire region. Finca Aurora holds Rainforest Alliance Certification — a reflection of their commitment to sustainable farming and community investment.

In the cup: dark caramel, dried fruit, marmalade, and toffee apple. This washed Caturra/Catuai blend is sweet, clean, and structured — the kind of coffee that's immediately approachable but reveals real depth with closer attention.
