What Mule Coffee Roasters say

Juicy blackberries, crisp apple, delicate florals, buttery caramel and a vibrant lime finish.

A remarkable expression of one of Colombia's most exciting coffee varieties. Grown by Cesar Buesaquillo at La Esmeralda Farm in Buenavista, Quindío, this Natural Chiroso showcases everything that has made this rare variety so sought after by specialty coffee lovers.

Once believed to be related to Caturra, Chiroso has recently been linked to Ethiopian landrace varieties, helping explain its beautifully floral and complex cup profile. Carefully hand-picked at peak ripeness, the cherries undergo a 45-hour aerobic fermentation before being slowly sun-dried for around 10 days, allowing the fruit's natural sweetness and complexity to fully develop.

Expect a vibrant and elegant cup with floral aromas, juicy blackberry sweetness, rich caramel, and a refreshing hint of lime, finishing with a silky body and exceptional clarity.
