What Bench Coffee Co. say
This Typica microlot was produced by José Palomino Tineo, a smallholder farmer based in the town of San Felipe, in the Jaén region of Cajamarca, Peru.
José is a member of the Aromas del Valle, a coffee cooperative supporting over 500 smallholder producers across the region, with a focus on supply chain transparency and supporting high quality coffee cultivation.
Tending to coffee grown on fertile sandy loam soil, more than 2000 metres above sea level, the terroir of José's farm is well suited to producing coffee of exceptional quality. Since the founding of the farm in 2008, José and his family have pursued continued improvements in their coffee through innovation, experimentation and refinement of their processes year on year.
In the cup, this coffee tastes like golden raisin and lime, with milk chocolate undertones.
