In the Guji highlands, a beautifully forested area in southern Ethiopia. Girum Girma runs one of the largest farms in Urga where coffee is the main livelihood for his family. Girum’s passion for coffee is shaped by the family’s values, care and hard work resulting in a truly great cup of coffee.

Each month, our roaster selects a standout coffee for filter brewing - one that’s captured their attention for its exceptional quality and unique flavour profile. These coffees embody everything we love about specialty coffee, highlighting the care and craft behind every bean.

Mr. Girum Girma runs a twelve hectare farm near the town of Haro Wachu in the Guji zone. As a father of nine, his entire family is involved in the daily work on the land. While his children spend their mornings at school, they join him in the afternoon to help out. It is a true family operation that has become one of the largest and most respected farms in the district.

Traditional African natural coffees are dried under the sun on raised beds for around four weeks after harvest.
