Strawberry Letter # 23

Probably one of the most hectic coffees we’ve roasted. Every time it goes through the roaster, it feels like it evolves into something a little different.

This coffee comes from Jairo Arcila, a third-generation coffee grower in Quindío, Colombia. Jairo is Carlos Arcila’s dad from Cofinet, who we’ve had the chance to meet and build a relationship with over the last year. It’s nice having that connection to the people behind the coffee and the farm, and we’re always keen to support good people doing good things.

We’re getting strawberry, lime, chocolate and fig, with a cup that’s complex and a little boozy. It’s a pretty wild coffee that has a lot going on, but somehow all works together.
